QuickBooks Desktop is gradually sunsetting. Intuit, the company that produces QuickBooks, has been moving its customers towards QuickBooks Online, which is their cloud-based accounting software. While they will continue to support QuickBooks Desktop, services and add-on features for this product will end soon. For instance, they will stop providing payroll and credit card processing services for QuickBooks Desktop by the end of 2022.
